Type of Project: Conservation Easement
This conservation easement, donated in 1997, lies alongside Rock Creek east of Lincoln City. It protects a relatively intact forest system, including a stream corridor and meadows, while maintaining the property’s capacity for productive forest management, including long-term sustainable harvest.
This easement protects significant open and relatively natural forest wetland systems, but also maintains the capacity of the property for productive forest management including long term sustainable harvest. Rock Creek runs along the northwest corner of the property. The property contains four zones of activity: riparian forest, stream corridor, meadow wetland and forest.
