Happy first day of Spring! We're looking forward Happy first day of Spring!

We're looking forward to this season and the new life it brings on the land.

For instance, this is usually when we get some new additions to our flock of (adorable) Scotch-broom grazers at Reed Ranch. Land stewards really do come in all shapes and sizes!

Wishing you a happy Spring Equinox! 💚

The nesting season for the western snowy plover st The nesting season for the western snowy plover started March 15 and goes through Sept. 15!

Oregon’s beaches are protected nesting grounds for these small shorebirds, which means certain recreation activities may be restricted or prohibited in designated plover management areas, which include Clatsop Spit, Nehalem Spit, Bayocean Spit, Netarts Spit, and South Sand Lake Spit.

Here are some of the seasonal beach restrictions, as per Oregon State Parks:
- No dogs (even on a leash), vehicles, bikes, kites or drones on these beaches—including the entire dune area and the wet sand, which can be far from signs.
- No camping or beach fires.
- If you are walking or riding your horse, stay on the wet sand.

Let's pitch in to support the success of this year's nesting season!
