More Conserved Lands
Type of Project: Habitat Reserve
In 2009, a landowner donated 6 acres of grass pasture in a sharp bend of the Nestucca River to Central Coast Land Conservancy (CCLC). Local watershed councils have planted hundreds of trees on the property and taken other steps to encourage native vegetation to thrive in the floodplain. In September 2016, Central Coast Land Conservancy transferred ownership and stewardship of the property to North Coast Land Conservancy.
