Reel + Roam the Wild Coast: 2026 Raffle

Have you ever wanted to go fishing on the northern Oregon Coast? Now is your chance to do just that, with an excursion led by Oregon Fishing Guide Bob Rees. You have your choice of salmon fishing, steelhead fishing, crabbing, and/or sturgeon fishing out on the Pacific Ocean, Columbia River, or Tillamook Bay. To make your adventure even more enjoyable, you’ll get a guided tour of an NCLC habitat reserve and overnight stays at Land’s End at Cannon Beach and The Cottage in Nehalem.

North Coast Land Conservancy is selling raffle tickets for a chance to win a fishing excursion on the North Oregon Coast, along with stays at two different lodging spots and a guided outing to an NCLC habitat reserve. The winner will receive a fishing adventure for two with expert guide Bob Rees. There are various options for locations, time of year, and what type of fish you’ll be going for! Additionally, the winner will receive a three-day, two-night stay in a beautiful ocean-view studio at Land’s End at Cannon Beach and a three-day, two-night stay at The Cottage in Nehalem.

The estimated value of this package is upward of $2,950. Tickets are on sale now, and only 100 tickets will be sold! All funds raised from this raffle go toward habitat conservation and restoration on the Oregon Coast.

Get to Know Your Guide: Bob Rees

As your Oregon fishing guide, Bob will give you his all-out effort every time while fishing for salmon or sturgeon on Oregon’s rivers from his comfortable 26-foot jet sled, or leisurely drift fishing trip down a beautiful Oregon north coast river for ocean fresh steelhead or salmon. Bob is a native Oregonian and has successfully guided fishing trips with beginning and expert anglers fishing in Oregon and Alaska waters since 1991.

He has fished Oregon rivers and the Pacific Ocean since 1978 and is willing to share his secrets and techniques to guide you into fish. Your catch will be cared for from the time it hits the net to ensure the freshest and healthiest meal for you to enjoy after your fishing trip is complete.

Some examples of excursions include:

  • Winter steelhead fishing, mid-Feb to mid-April on the Necanicum, Nehalem, Kilchis, Trask or Nestucca rivers
  • Spring Chinook finishing, last week of March and April on the Willamette River or Columbia River; May to June on the Tillamook Bay
  • Columbia River Sturgeon fishing, July to mid-August in Garibaldi (plus crabbing); mid-July to mid-September on the Pacific Ocean and/or Columbia River

Based on availability from Sept. 4, 2026, to Dec. 31, 2027 (unless season closes sooner). Blackout dates: Aug. 1 to Aug. 31, 2027. This excursion is for two people; there is no age minimum or maximum.

Two-Night Stay at Land’s End at Cannon Beach

Enjoy a comfortable getaway in a spacious studio room with an ocean view.

The studios at Land’s End at Cannon Beach’s are all unique. All studios include a sofa, dining area, refrigerator, microwave and coffeemaker. Free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV with cable, a DVD player, and a hair dryer also are available in all rooms. Land’s End at Cannon Beach is located in the heart of town, giving you easy access to stroll to dozens of charming shops, galleries and cafes. Additionally, you’re steps away from the beach for walks, bonfires, and tide-pooling.

Two-Night Stay at the Cottage in Nehalem

Get a taste of the extraordinary Nehalem Valley with a two-night stay at The Cottage in Nehalem.

This roomy studio cottage is located in a quiet neighborhood, near Nehalem City Park and a quick five-minute walk from downtown Nehalem. With a single bunk bed over a queen bed in the main room and a full-size bed in the loft, it can comfortably sleep up to five people. The studio also includes a kitchenette with a mini fridge, sink, and stove; dishes; coffee maker; WiFi; and full bath with a shower. Outside, you can enjoy natural landscaping.

Tour of an NCLC Habitat Reserve on the North Coast

Experience one of NCLC’s habitat reserves up close! A team member will guide you on an interpretive walk at a conserved property on the Oregon North Coast. You’ll get to observe the remarkable beauty of nature.

Want to Purchase Your Tickets for the Reel & Roam Raffle?

Tickets cost $100 each, and only 100 tickets will be sold, giving you fantastic odds of winning! 

The winning ticket will be drawn at noon on Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2026. Participants need not be present to win. The winners will be immediately notified by phone or email. Funds will be used to support coastal conservation.

To buy tickets: 

Tickets go on sale at 8 a.m. July 15, 2026. You can purchase tickets online here, or email NCLC Development Coordinator Caroline Haslach at carolineh@NCLCtrust.org with your name, phone number, mailing address, and number of tickets you want. We’ll call you to get your credit card information for payment. Additionally, we can accept calls to take credit cards over the phone during normal NCLC business hours, beginning July 15. Checks reserving raffle tickets can be sent at any time until tickets are sold out.

Tickets will be reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis and distributed upon payment. You must be physically in Oregon when purchasing the tickets. You also must be 18 years or older to purchase.

Refund policy: This raffle drawing is a fundraiser for coastal conservation in Oregon. No refunds will be granted. Additionally, the ticket price is NOT tax-deductible. Thank you for your generous support of coastal conservation!
