Columbia Quiet Waters
Type of Project: Habitat Reserve
This reserve forms a nearly unbroken wildlife corridor from the headwaters of Alder Creek near the center of Warrenton north to the creek’s confluence with the Columbia River. By filtering and storing large volumes of water, this undeveloped wetland may reduce the effects of flooding and storm surge.
The Alder Creek Corridor includes the Gardenia Wetland, Sand Creek, and Ninth Street Wetland habitat reserves.
