Our Conservation Initiatives

As community leaders in conservation, we help guide decision-making that affects the long-term stewardship of the lands and waters of Oregon’s north coast. Rather than simply conserving patches of pristine habitat here and there, we look for links in the landscape that will help:

  • Maintain the health of the region’s ecosystems.
  • Meet habitat range requirements, where native plants and animals are most likely to thrive.
  • Allow plants and animals to move and mingle across the landscape, promoting local migration and a healthy gene pool.

This strategic approach leads us to focus on projects that promote high-priority conservation initiatives.
