Connecting a Coastal Watershed
NCLC has been working since the 1980s to preserve the estuary at the mouth of the Necanicum. Having met our conservation goals on the lower Necanicum, the land trust is now in the process of marching up the watershed to preserve the entire ocean-estuary-watershed connection. We have a number of potential conservation projects in the works here, including both small and large landowners. We expect to see significant developments in this initiative over the next few years.
