Neawanna Wetland
Type of Project: Habitat Reserve
This reserve south of downtown Seaside conserves part of the historic high marsh system of the Necanicum River estuary. Today it consists of a freshwater wetland connected by a small channel to a tidal saltmarsh. It serves as an important habitat connection to our other reserves along the Necanicum.
Necanicum Estuary includes our Avenue I and Mantel Lake habitat reserves.
