World Oceans Day Celebration at Cape Falcon Marine Reserve

June 8 is World Oceans Day, and what better way to celebrate than an outing to the beach alongside Cape Falcon Marine Reserve? Along with our partners from Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW), we will be leading this event, which will take place at Neahkahnie Beach in manzanita. Join us to learn more about NCLC’s Marine Program and ODFW’s Nearshore Ecology Program!

Plus, you will get to participate in a guided scavenger hunt, walk a sand labyrinth (created by sand artist Za, from Centerpoint Healing Arts), and enjoy a treat in celebration of Cape Falcon Marine Reserve’s 10th anniversary! This event is suitable for individuals of all ages, but we ask that you register in advance.

Later in the day, join us for World Oceans Day Trivia at Pelican Brewing’s pub in Cannon Beach from 5 to 7 p.m.
