Thompson Creek Restoration Planning: Community Meeting

Join us and our partners from the Necanicum Watershed Council (NWC) for a community meeting at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb 10, at the Bob Chisholm Community Center in Seaside.

This is an opportunity for the community to learn about the essential wildlife habitat along Thompson Creek, on the north side of Seaside; hear about the NWC’s current restoration planning project; and provide initial feedback and insights.

As the hosts of this community forum, staff from the NWC will talk about their ongoing project, with a guest speaker from Wolf Water Resources, who is overseeing the work. NCLC will share on the history of the site and our Thompson Creek-Stanley Marsh Habitat Reserve. Personnel from the Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife (ODFW) also will participate in the meeting to highlight the fish species that inhabit the creek.

At the meeting, we will take questions, comments, and feedback from community members and neighbors to help inform the restoration analysis design. Check out the NWC’s website for more details about the project.
