Volunteers Plant Cedar Trees at Circle Creek

North Coast Land Conservancy’s 2024 field season is officially underway.

About two dozen volunteers joined our stewardship team at Circle Creek Habitat Reserve to plant hundreds of cedar trees on Saturday, Feb. 24. This is part of our ongoing restoration and rewilding efforts at this reserve, one of our keystone properties, located just south of Seaside.

We have done regular plantings at the property to help diversify the age and species of the trees in the growing forest. These new plants will add another age cohort to the mix.

Check out some photos from this fun stewardship work party and keep an eye on our Events page for upcoming volunteer opportunities at our habitat reserves across the Oregon Coast, as well as the Cape Falcon Marine Reserve.
