The proposed Rainforest Reserve is part of a mountain range that has become a familiar backdrop to the coastal communities clustered at its feet.

Here you can see this beloved ridgeline from the Clatsop Plains near Warrenton, but it's visible from viewpoints even further north!

Visited our Reed Ranch property today and got to see the cutest little grazers ever... They even help with the scotch broom! 💚

Since we acquired the property about a decade ago, Reed Ranch has emerged as an important wildlife refuge on the Clatsop Plains, linking conservation efforts all the way from Fort Stevens State Park to the Necanicum estuary.

Did you know lichen helps create soil on basalt pe Did you know lichen helps create soil on basalt peaks, such as those found in the proposed Rainforest Reserve? As lichen grows, it slowly breaks down minerals in the rock, causing the rocks to crumble.

In general, the Coastal Edge—the unique ecosystem lying between Tillamook Head and Nehalem Bay—is the product of geologic forces at work over millennia.

Learn more about the geology of the area and our Rainforest Reserve campaign at the link in our bio!
