Our stewardship team is once again partnering with NORP (Northwest Oregon Restoration Partnership), a program of Tillamook Estuaries Partnership (TEP), for a fun-filled volunteer work party on Halloween! We will travel to their native plant nursery in Tillamook and help sow seeds into pots for next year’s grow out. We are likely to be sowing seed from native plant species such as the early blue violet and bigleaf maple.
Costumes are strongly encouraged! Carpooling is also encouraged. NCLC staff will be driving our two NCLC work trucks to Tillamook, and we have some extra seats. Let us know if you’re coming from Seaside and hoping to carpool, and we can arrange a spot for you.
What to Bring: The NORP nursery has a covered (but not heated) building that we may be working in. However, also be prepared to work outside if needed. Bring sturdy shoes, gloves, layers, water, a snack or lunch, etc. Anything you would usually need to be comfortable while working a couple hours in the field.
