Join Friends of Haystack Rock for their next Nature Talk, a special presentation titled “For the Love of Puffins,” from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 15, taking place at NCLC’s Circle Creek Conservation Center. To celebrate Valentine’s Day and our love of Tufted Puffins, Katherine Luscher will present about the current state of the Tufted Puffin and research that is occurring throughout the West Coast. The event will include ample time for questions, discussion, and mingling with fellow puffin lovers.
Ms. Luscher is the Senior Coordinator for Tufted Puffins for the National Audubon Society’s Seabird Institute. Her passion for natural spaces and species is a thread that weaves through her professional career. She helps facilitate the sharing of knowledge, best practices, and coordination of conservation efforts about the Tufted Puffins throughout the Pacific Northwest.
