Columbia Quiet Waters
Type of Project: Habitat Reserve
The site is a freshwater forested wetland with primarily Red alder and Sitka spruce canopy, willow and sough sedge understory. Though part of an extensive wetlands system in the Warrenton/Hammond area, the waterway of this property has been highly modified by culverts and ditches. Pacific Wetland Habitat Reserve retains value as open space, use as a bird corridor and as habitat for small mammals.
