Join Necanicum Watershed Council (NWC), Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW), and North Coast Land Conservancy (NCLC) for a tour of NCLC’s Thompson Creek-Stanley Marsh Habitat Reserve and the surrounding Thompson Creek area. ODFW Fish Habitat Restoration Biologist Derek Wiley will demonstrate what makes good salmon habitat and highlight some of the habitat challenges and opportunities in the Thompson Creek system.
Meet at the pumphouse next to Thompson Creek. Parking is limited; if you can walk to the meeting spot, please do. Participants should expect to be moving outdoors on wet and uneven terrain. Rubber boots or waders are encouraged. There is no restroom on site. Please bring any layers, water, or snacks that you might need for two hours outdoors.
