Join us and our partners at the North Coast Watershed Association for a day of releasing native trees from the clutches of English ivy! This invasive plant threatens forests by climbing, damaging, and even toppling trees if left unchecked.
We will meet at one of our forested habitat reserves in Warrenton at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 20. Bring water, a snack, boots, rain gear (depending on the weather), and anything else you need to keep you comfortable in the field for a couple hours.
NCLC will provide gloves and tools, but feel free to bring your own if you have some you like to use. Tools like handsaws and loppers are helpful for removing ivy from trees.
