One of the best parts of fall on the Oregon Coast is the abundance and diversity of the fungi to be found in our hills and mountains.
In late October, our staff made a visit to the Rainforest Reserve, which was conserved Oct. 26 after a five-year capital campaign. While we were there, we came across a plethora of cool fungi! We’ve started to identify them, but if you have additional insights or information, let us know.
Here is a closer look at a few of the nifty fungi we observed. Enjoy!
If any of our fellow fungi lovers have information on these species, share it with us at katherinel@nclctrust.org!
