Please join the board and staff of North Coast Land Conservancy as we celebrate and welcome the transition of a very special property to conservation protection with the land trust. The seven-acre Clear Lake property was the last undeveloped interdunal lake on the Warrenton peninsula outside of Fort Stevens State Park. It is at the heart of North Coast Land Conservancy’s Columbia Quiet Waters initiative. Now the lake and its surrounding dune ridges, emerging wetlands and forested uplands will remain undisturbed forever.
We thank landowner Rod Gramson for being such a great partner to work with during the acquisition process, and look forward to honoring his wish to see the property where he has watched wildlife thrive for 40 years remain in a natural state.
You can read the full article about the Clear Lake acquisition in our 2013 Fall Newsletter, available on line. You can also sign up for our mailing list to receive the print version of our spring and fall newsletters in the mail. You can pick up a copy at the NCLC office, or at any number of local coffee shops, libraries and shops.
Welcome to North Coast Land Conservancy, Clear Lake Habitat Reserve!
