Seabird Hike at Cape Falcon Marine Reserve

Join us for a walk at the Elk Flats Trail and Devil’s Cauldron, overlooking the magnificent Cape Falcon Marine Reserve at Oswald West State Park.
Bring your binoculars and hiking shoes for a hike on the Elk Flats Trail with Portland Audubon’s Coastal Community Science Biologist Allison Anholt. Along the way, we will discuss seabirds found off of Oswald West State Park and at the Cape Falcon Marine Reserve. The walk terminates at the Devil’s Cauldron overlook.
TRAIL DETAILS: Please be advised that this trail is strenuous, with portions of loose gravel and a steep incline. Footing may be uneven in places. No toilets on site. Please leave dogs at home.
WHAT TO BRING: Participants are encouraged to bring water, snacks, binoculars, walking poles, and have appropriate hiking footwear and layers for the day’s weather. This program is free, but registration is required.
