Shrubs Shindig at Shangrila

Join us for a planting party at the Shangrila Wetland Habitat Reserve in Seaside!

We will be planting a diverse mix of native shrubs and collecting willow to plant stakes. This will be an important step in helping restore this habitat that has been heavily impacted by human use.

Tools and gloves will be provided, but feel free to bring your own in you have some you like to use. We recommend wearing rubber boots and sturdy clothing appropriate for working in the field for this planting day. Also, bring a snack and water! There is no potable water at the site and no toilets. Dogs are not allowed on any NCLC properties.

MEETING SITE: We are planning to meet at the Mill Ponds in the field behind Ruby’s Roadside Grill in Seaside. You can park in the overflow lot of Ruby’s. Map here.
