March 22: Join the floodplain restoration!

February 11, 2014

Stewardship Day at Circle Creek Habitat Reserve
Saturday, March 22

10 a.m. to noon

Erin Conway planting Sitka spruce at Circle Creek

The tree planting at Circle Creek should be completed by mid-March, but the job of restoring the floodplain is far from over. Come see the progress we’ve made this winter and help NCLC get a jumpstart on planting some 12,000 willow stakes on the property. The project site is muddy; wear rubber boots and prepare for a walk of about a half-mile from the parking area to the planting site. There are no toilets, and no dogs are allowed on the property. Bring water and, if you like, a snack. Questions? Contact Stewardship Director Melissa Reich at
