Sharpen Up the Tool Shed

February 14, 2018

Wednesday, Feb. 14
10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Circle Creek Conservation Center

We love our tools! The tool shed at Circle Creek Conservation Center holds  a wide variety of tools, some of which we inherited when we bought the property in 2004 and some we brought with us and use often in caring for our properties. We could use some help in sorting and identifying the tools in the shed so we know which ones we need to keep, which need repair, and which we don’t need at all.  Some tools such as hazel hoes, pulaskis, and loppers need to be sharpened and oiled. Other tools could use some minor repairs.

Join us for an indoor stewardship day in the tool shed. Volunteers who are familiar with farm equipment and power tools are especially welcome, to help us understand what we have and potentially help with minor repairs. We can also use unskilled help sorting, organizing, cleaning, and sharpening.

Please email Melissa at to let her know you’re coming. Circle Creek Conservation Center is at the end of Rippet Road in Seaside. Look for the Rippet Road sign on the west side of US 101, 0.7 mile north of the junction with US 26. Follow the road west and north a short distance, passing a gravel quarry on your left, to where it ends between two barns.
