Help wrap up our three-year project to seek out and destroy policeman’s helmet in the Necanicum watershed!

NCLC and the Necanicum Watershed Council have been working hard to get rid of this invasive weed that had spread widely along the Necanicum River and its tributaries. To keep it from coming back, we will be planting native shrubs and trees such as spruce, hemlock, alder and ninebark in gaps on the riverbank where this weed once thrived.

Please e-mail Stewardship Director Melissa Reich at melissar@nclctrust.org or call her at 503-738-9126 if you plan to attend. Wear gloves and work boots. NCLC will supply the necessary tools. Bring water and snacks/lunch; there is no potable water at the site, and no toilets. Dogs are not allowed on any NCLC properties.
