Book signing: A Generous Nature

December 14, 2019

2 p.m.

Beach Books
616 Broadway St., Seaside

Author Marcy Houle is coming to Beach Books to discuss and read from her new book, A Generous Nature: Lives Transformed by Oregon. The book profiles 21 conservationists and activists who have made enduring contributions to the preservation of Oregon’s wild and natural places and high quality of life. Among them is Neal Maine, a founder of NCLC and its first executive director. Neal will be at the book signing along with current NCLC Executive Director Katie Voelke, who will provide a glimpse of the future unfolding as a result of Neal’s legacy.

A Generous Nature would make a great gift for anyone interested in knowing more about Oregon’s conservation history. “These stories … will inspire readers and demonstrate that individually we can make a difference” (OSU Press). Both Marcy and Neal will be available to sign books.

Beach Books is donating a portion of the afternoon’s book sales to NCLC.
