Astoria Co-op shoppers: Drop in a bean for NCLC

October 19, 2016

It’s our turn! Four times a year, Astoria Co-op Grocery (1355 Exchange St.) chooses three worthy organizations to support through its Beans for Bags program. Now through December, North Coast Land Conservancy is one of the choices. If you bring your own bag to shop at the Co-op, you will be given a bean to drop into one of three containers, each representing a different non-profit organization in the community. Drop your bean in the NCLC jar, and 5 cents will be donated to NCLC in January.

Anyone can shop at the Co-op; you do not need to be a member. Just remember to bring your bag and to vote for NCLC with your bean when you get to the register.

Other merchants also offer rewards programs benefitting North Coast Land Conservancy (details here). Keep them in mind as the holiday feasting and gifting season approaches.
