Fort Stevens State Park, Warrenton

As summer  winds down, the time arrives for collecting seeds from native plants to spread on our coastal prairie properties, supporting our prairie restoration efforts. We will gather at the state park, in an area where a variety of native coastal species thrive, to collect the seeds. Among the plant seeds we hope to collect are dune and Canada goldenrod, aster, dune tansy, yarrow, and pearly everlasting.

If you’d like to help, contact NCLC Stewardship Director Melissa Reich at 503-738-9126 or to let her know you’re coming and to get directions to the site. Wear sturdy boots and gloves.
